We take a moment to reflect and let out initial thoughts and feelings decant while looking that the images from the series The Practical Encyclopaedia of Good Decorating and Home Improvement. There are obviously some rooms that are not that impressive but in other cases… Wow. Really… Wow.
It’s all there, in terms of mixing up colours, textures or anything else: there’s a little bit of everything. We’ve put up a few examples, but grab yourself a drink and go have a look (not two, it’d be too much) at the 47 photos.
Arborite, a client with whom we’ve been working for several years, has been through all this. They’re celebrating their 60th anniversary and have seen this kind of thing happen. You can check out one of their first brochures, dating back to the 50s (PDF).You will find jewels that have not survived the evolution of interior design.
