Apple has a letterhead problem

The story of the day (other than that Icelandic volcanoe) is no other than the iPhone 4 prototype that the Gizmodo blog was able to get a hold of.

Today’s latest development, Apple wants it back. Gizmodo published a copy of the letter they received, but Lionel, our Art Director, had some remarks.

It’s weird that Apple uses a letterhead that doesn’t seem to have the latest logo and typeface. The contact info at the bottom uses Garamond, but Apple switched to Myriad many years ago, at the time of the first iPods.

They’re using 6-year-old stationary?

Here’s a copy of the letter. What do you think?
