PROJECT magazine (launched by Richard Branson on November 30th) shows what the future of magazines on tablet PCs could be. They have indeed successfully created an interesting mix of video/slideshow/rich content and static text.

After playing around with the application, my first thought was that jamming every possible interaction into it (each article has virtually its own way to browse through it) really doesn’t make for an easy read. On each page, we focus more on what we can do and how to do it than on the contents themselves. But you quickly get a grasp of things, and you end up telling yourself that this is the future of magazines, because there are many possibilities today, and many more to explore.
